Cisco Certifications in 2026: Enterprise, Security and Emerging Tracks
Compare current Cisco exam families and 2026 updates, then connect the certification landscape to LaneCert’s Enterprise Infrastructure and Security training paths.
LaneCert’s current public training focus remains Enterprise Infrastructure and Security. The broader Cisco certification ecosystem also includes additional tracks and emerging areas covered below.
Enterprise: use the current blueprint
Cisco’s ENCOR v1.2 update took effect March 19, 2026. Wireless objectives moved to the dedicated Wireless track. CCNP Enterprise combines its core exam with a concentration, while CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure adds an expert practical exam after the qualifying core. Check the current blueprint when selecting study material.
Wireless and Automation
CCNP Wireless and CCIE Wireless launched March 19, 2026, with WLCOR as the core. Cisco transitioned DevNet certification names to CCNA, CCNP and CCIE Automation on February 3, 2026. These names describe distinct certification paths within Cisco’s ecosystem.
Security’s August refresh
SCOR v2.0 became available August 27, 2026. The current CCNP Security page lists SNCF, SISE, SSCA and SDSI concentrations. SSCA is the updated name for SCAZT; the exam number remains 300-740. The CCIE Security practical has its own update cycle, so consult its current blueprint separately.
Data Center AI Infrastructure
The 300-640 DCAI exam covers AI infrastructure design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting across network, compute, storage and orchestration. It earns a specialist credential and can serve as a CCNP Data Center concentration.
Expert paths and your starting point
Cisco’s CCIE families include Enterprise Infrastructure, Security, Data Center, Service Provider, Collaboration, Wireless and Automation. Each has a qualifying exam and practical requirements. Cisco lists no formal prerequisite for the Enterprise qualifying exam; LaneCert recommends a training entry stage based on current knowledge, practical skills and goals.
LaneCert’s beginner-to-advanced Enterprise training progression remains CCNA preparation → CCNP Enterprise preparation → CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure preparation. Discuss Security through consultation. Use the sources below to verify exam versions before booking.
